Someone sent in a note of some of the names from the Paris trip and he added a comment ‘I believe we attended Paris in 1960/61. I am 60 next year as most of the pupils in the photograph will be if not already. I do remember that we went from Folkstone to Calais and then by train to Gard du Nord and also going up the Eiffel Tower. Some sites were unattainable at the time because the OAS troubles at the time? Algerian Freedom Fighters. I have always been proud of attending HSB, still live in the Hull area and working part time in the building industry.

Playtex girdles - who remembers going to Hammonds, Bladons and other shops to get tubes in which Playtex Girdles were delivered for our technical drawings and surveying?

I remember a mate of mine, Kevin Smith, from Army Cadets in the sixties went there. Unfortunately he was killed falling through a warehouse roof on Princess Dock I think it was during school lunch break.

One of the teachers (who will remain anonymous) quoted that pupils used to put woodwork glue in Albert Wray’s tea and he hadn’t a clue!
